You wouldn’t show up to Picket Post in Pakistani “wool”, and you shouldn’t show up with a ziploc bag full of leaky paper ladies either. Your ammunition should look as historically accurate as the rest of your kit, and it can.

This kit contains 40 ready-to-fill CS Enfield cartridges, 4 cap tubes, 4 stamped wrappers, and sufficient twine to complete 4 arsenal packets. All you need is powder and caps.

BE AWARE OF YOUR CARTRIDGE BOX DIMENSIONS: If you’re carrying a US .58cal (1855/1857) cartridge box, or CS clone thereof, these cartridges will be too long for your tins. This is a period correct issue faced by the CS Ordnance Department, and part of why an effort was made to standardize on the M1839 pattern box dimensions. If you’re carrying an M1839 box, CS clone thereof, or an English-imported cartridge box you will have no such issue.

I have made the Minie blank kit available as well, to accomodate all types of cartridge boxes within the event impression guidelines.

These cartridges differ from their live counterparts only in that the lead projectile has been replaced by a %100 non-toxic, biodegradable and recyclable cornstarch foam pellet, which allows the cartridge to hold its’ correct shape without representing a ballistic hazard should you choose to ram it. It is also safe to leave on the field, as the structural components of the cartridge are recycled and biodegradable material, too.
